Regarding the Open Access Publication Support Agreement in 2025
The Academic Information Resources aims to expand the culture of Open Access (OA) publication and contribute to the free distribution of knowledge. In this regard, we have established agreements for supporting OA publication costs (Article Processing Charges, APC) as outlined below. Please take note and make full use of the benefits provided.
1. Publishers (*Details vary by publisher; please refer to the publisher-specific guide below.)

2. Support Period: Starting January 1, 2025
- Quota-limited waivers are available until fully utilized.
- Retroactive application for articles published before the support period is not allowed.
- For Wiley, OA approval is available only from March onward: Articles published in January or February 2025 in Wiley Hybrid Journals as Non-OA (Subscription Only) can be converted to OA for free starting in March (Refunds for articles published as paid OA are not possible).
3. Eligibility: Corresponding authors affiliated with POSTECH whose articles are accepted by the eligible journals.
- The affiliation POSTECH must be clearly stated.
- The corresponding author must use an @postech.ac.kr email address.
- The publication process must be initiated by the corresponding author.
4. Support Method: For eligible journals, if POSTECH affiliation and email are verified, publishers will offer APC waiver options (either automatically approved or requiring Academic Information Resources’ approval, depending on the publisher)
5. Important Notes
- Ensure that you check the eligible journals and specific details for each publisher.
- For publishers with quotas, support is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Once quotas are exhausted, additional support will not be provided.
- For some publishers, individual and departmental limits on support may apply to ensure equitable distribution of benefits across campus. Your understanding is appreciated.
