2024 Open Access Article Processing Charge (APC) Support Information

The library has signed into agreements to support Open Access (OA) Article Processing Charge (APC) in order to contribute to the spread of OA publishing and the free dissemination of knowledge. Please refer to the following information on applied publishers and conditions

1. Wiley Online Library
   
   1. Content: Full APC exemption (26 articles) based on membership in the Read & Publish consortium
   2. Applied Journals: List Attached
   3. How to Apply: If the author is affiliated with POSTECH, the institutional exemption option is provided during article submission.
   4. Support Measures: To ensure that various authors within the university can benefit from APC exemptions when publishing OA, we plan to allocate a maximum support frequency by department as follows:

• March to June: Maximum support frequency will be applied proportional to the journal publication volume of each department over the past 3 years.
• July to September: Support provided on a first-come, first-served basis within the remaining frequency.
• September to December: Further guidance will be provided.

1. RSC (Royal Society of Chemistry)
   
   1. Content: Full APC exemption (13 articles) for submission to RSC hybrid journals according to RSC PAR subscription conditions
   2. Applied Journals: List Attached
   3. How to Apply: If the author is affiliated with POSTECH, the institutional exemption option is provided.
   4. Support Measures: Support provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. ACM Open
   
   1. Content: Full APC exemption (unlimited) for submission to all ACM journals based on ACM Open journal subscriptions
   2. Applied Journals: All ACM journals.
   3. How to Apply: If the author is affiliated with POSTECH, the institutional exemption option is provided.

1. BioMed Central
   
   1. Content: With POSTECH's BMC Supporter membership, a 15% discount on APC is provided for publication in BioMed Central and SpringerOpen journals.

1. Cambridge University Press
   
   1. Content: With Cambridge University Press Read & Publish subscription, APC is fully waived for submission to Cambridge University Press journals (unlimited).
   2. Applied Journals: https://www.cambridge.org/core/services/open-access-policies/waivers-discounts
   3. How to Use: Institutional exemption option provided if the author is affiliated with POSTECH (Details: See attached Publishing Guide)

1. Company of Biologists
   
   1. Content: With Company of Biologists Read & Publish subscription, APC is fully waived (unlimited).
   2. Applied Journals: 5 journals from Company of Biologists(Development, Journal of Cell Science, Journal of Experimental Biology, Disease Models & Mechanisms, Biology Open)
   3. How to Use: Institutional exemption option provided if the author is affiliated with POSTECH.
