Extended Restriction to the Library access of non-Postechian users
Due to the continuing spread of COVID19, POSTECH Infectious Disease Control is applying 2nd stage social distancing at campus. Therefore restriction to the library access of non-Postechian users will be extended as following.
O Period: Sep 2. (Wed) 2020 ~ until government announcement of going down to 1st stage social distancing
Adjustment in reading room opening and lighting hours
Due to decline of library users, followed by 2020-2 semester courses being held remotely and non-POSTECH user services being closed, reading room opening and lighting hours will be adjusted as following. Please understand that this is for effective use of spaces and saving energy.

Restriction to the Library access of non-Postechian users
Due to the spread of COVID19 getting severe, POSTECH Infectious Disease Control decided to apply 2nd stage social distancing at campus, and campus facilities that had been open for visitors are being temporarily closed. Therefore please be aware that POSTECH Library is restricting access of non-Postechian users from Aug 19 to Sep 1, despite the fact that we just had been partially re-opened it to visitors at Aug 10.
Partial re-opening of the library to non-POSTECH Users
Tae-joon Park Digital Library will partially re-open its doors as follows by easing the restrictions caused by COVID-19. However, concerns about the spread of COVID-19 infection continue, so please follow the distance guidelines and library usage rules thoroughly so that all users can use the library safely.
1. Effective date: 2020. 8. 10 (Mon.) ~ Until separate notice
Thesis Submission Information
Graduate students who are scheduled to graduate in August, 2020 are advised to submit their theses according to the following guidelines.
1. Submission period: Jul, 2nd (Thur) ~ Jul, 10th (Fri)
2. Procedure: Submit thesis file online --> Print & Sign Copyright Agreement --> Submit physical copies (Hard bound)
Long-term checkout during winter vacation
Please note that we will guide you through the long-term loan service for the 2020 summer vacation as follows.
1. Apply to : Undergraduate and graduate students
2. Loan period: Jun. 22, 2020 ~ Sep. 14, 2020 (up to 84 days)
* The loan suspension period will be calculated in the same manner as before.

Adjusted library hour for exam period
Library hour had been shorten due to the COVID-19 prevention, but will be adjusted during midterm exam period as following.

Delayed Re-Opening of Library to non-POSTECH Users
Despite the consideration we made to ease restriction on library building access due to COVID-19, the infection has been spreading again, causing social unrest.
Under these circumstances, we decided to delay re-opening of the library to non-POSTECH users, considering user’s safety first. We will be opening the library to all when the situation stabilizes and the library can be safe for everyone.
